Antique Staffordshire Pearlware Pottery Figurine 19thc Children Scuffle c1820

Antique Staffordshire figurine made in England c1820. Measures 8" or 20cm in height. 

This Staffordshire "Scuffle" figurine is a charming example of early 19th-century pottery. Created around 1820, it depicts a lively scene of children engaged in a playful tussle, referred to as "Scuffle". Attributed to the maker Dudson.

This figurine is made of pearlware and decorated with vibrant enamel colors and bocage (leafy) details. It is mounted on a square base and showcase the whimsical artistry of Staffordshire potters.

Condition inspection found restoration to brocade (foliage), losses to base edges and some of the enamel otherwise it is good and displays beautifully.
