Bio;

The history of Sitzendorf porcelain dates back to 1850, when the company was founded in Thuringia, Germany. This region was known for its skilled artisans and production of high-quality ceramics. Sitzendorf initially focused on producing household items, but its reputation for crafting delicate and intricate porcelain figurines quickly grew.

By the late 19th century, Sitzendorf had become famous for its Rococo-style figurines, often inspired by pastoral and romantic themes, such as shepherds and shepherdesses. The company employed highly skilled artists who hand-painted and detailed each piece, ensuring a distinctive and luxurious aesthetic. Its work reflected a blend of traditional craftsmanship and artistic innovation.

Sitzendorf faced challenges during the 20th century, including interruptions caused by World War II. Nevertheless, the company persevered and continued producing porcelain, maintaining its legacy of artistry and excellence. Today, Sitzendorf figurines are highly sought after by collectors around the world, admired for their intricate designs and historical significance.
