A set of four Caughley antique porcelain coffee cups made in England late 18thc. 

c1785+ Cornflower Sprig Pattern with gold gilt details. In good condition with no chips cracks crazing or restoration. Inspection found some wear to the gilt to rims and the foot rim gold band on two cups. 

Measure 2 & 5/8" height, and 2 & 3/8" or 6cm diameter. 

The Cornflower Sprig design is a known decorative motif used by the Caughley factory, often seen on tea bowls, coffee cups, and teapots from the late 18th century. These pieces typically feature:

  • Delicate blue cornflower motifs.

  • Sometimes enhanced with gilding.

  • Produced around 1785.

Bio;

The Caughley China Works, active from circa 1775 to 1799 in Shropshire, England, was renowned for:

  • Blue and white porcelain inspired by Chinese designs.

  • Elegant tea and coffee wares, including cups, saucers, and jugs.
