An antique dessert plate made by Coalport in England c1820s with cobalt blue border, featuring cartouche panels and centre illustrating finely painted flowers with various colours, embellished with 22kt gold gilt.
The plate measures 9 & 1/8" or 23cm diameter.
Condition inspection found no chips cracks or restoration. There is some crazing to the piece and rear discolouration to the underside.
Bio;
Coalport is famous for its porcelain, with the Coalport porcelain factory founded in 1795 by John Rose. The factory produced high-quality tableware and decorative pieces, including the well-known "Indian tree" pattern. Over time, Coalport porcelain became part of the Wedgwood group, continuing its legacy in fine china production.
