A nice quality 6.5cm diameter high quality millefiori paperweight in very good vintage condition with no chips cracks or restoration. 

Perthshire Paperweights was founded in 1968 in Crieff, Scotland, by Stuart Drysdale. Before starting Perthshire, Drysdale managed Vasart Glass, which later became Strathearn Glass. He brought along skilled workers from Strathearn, including John Deacons and Peter McDougall. The company focused on producing high-quality paperweights, often in limited editions. Their designs were known for their intricate millefiori patterns and exceptional craftsmanship. Stuart Drysdale’s ambition was to create paperweights that could rival the best 19th-century French paperweights. After Stuart Drysdale’s death in 1990, his son Neil took over the business. Unfortunately, Neil passed away in 2001, and the factory closed down in early 20022. Despite the closure, the legacy of Perthshire Paperweights continues through the work of former employees like John Deacons and Peter McDougall, who set up their own studios
