The "blue flying fish" glass centerpiece was created by the Josef Inwald Glassworks, a prominent glassmaking company in what was then Czechoslovakia.

Josef Inwald Glassworks. The company was established in 1862 by Josef Inwald von Waltrau (1837–1906), a highly respected Bohemian glass entrepreneur. In 1878, he opened a factory in the Zlíchov quarter of Prague, which became one of the largest glass production compounds in Europe.

Barolac and pressed glass: The Inwald works became well-known for their pressed and frosted "Barolac" glass, which was popular during the Art Deco era of the 1920s and 1930s. Barolac designs often featured beautiful frosted finishes and relief-molded figures, like the "Dans la Forêt" (Forest) vases and the "Poisson Volant" (Flying Fish) centerpiece.
