Antique Venus Marina Engraving c1719 - Bernard de Montfaucon Mythological Print

An original French early 18th-century mythological copperplate engraving from the Enlightenment period depicting Venus Marina, published circa 1719 and associated with the celebrated antiquarian scholar Bernard de Montfaucon.

Condition;

Inspection found the piece in good antique condition, with small area that has some foxing on the top edge of sheet but not the print itself. 

The print shows expected characteristics of early paper and printing, which may include light toning, plate marks, folds or minor age-related wear. These features are consistent with an original work approaching three centuries old.
