In 1820, the firm expanded when Thomas Johnson, their marketing agent, joined the partnership, leading to the formation of Hicks, Meigh & Johnson. The company was known for its high-quality porcelain and stone china, often featuring intricate floral designs, gilding, and Imari-style patterns.
