Japanese hand painted antique charger, from the Ming period (1368-1644). The piece is illustrated with a rooster and peony flowers.

Measures 11 & 5/8" or 29.5cm diameter
Condition. Inspection found some age related wear. The reverse rim has a small historically repaired rim chip. There is a small foot rim chip. There are some tiny areas of glazing lost or missed at manufacture on rim.
Meiji or earlier period.
Note that with antique items there may be tiny areas of wear that are authentic and signs of age and early manufacturing techniques. These include kiln stand marks, and glaze flaws.
