Bio;

Derby porcelain has a rich history that dates back to the mid-18th century. The first factory was established in 1750 by Andrew Planche, a talented craftsman who created handmade figurines. He later partnered with William Duesbury, an enameller, to form the Nottingham Road factory, which became the foundation of Derby porcelain's legacy.

Derby porcelain is renowned for its fine bone china and Neoclassical designs, often featuring intricate hand-painted patterns and gilding. The factory gained royal recognition in 1775, when King George III granted permission to incorporate a crown into its backstamp, leading to the name Royal Crown Derby.

Today, Royal Crown Derby continues to produce exquisite tableware and decorative items, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation.
