A beautiful antique female sculpture Parian figure in the form of the Lurline. It has an impressed mark but no maker. It is in the style of KPM or Copeland.
The Lurline Parian figurine is a beautiful example of 19th-century porcelain artistry. Typically attributed to Copeland, a renowned English manufacturer, this piece depicts Lurline, a mythological water nymph, in a serene and contemplative pose. She's often shown partially draped, seated beside a harp symbolizing her connection to the Rhine River legend.
This figurine crafted in Parian ware, is a type of unglazed porcelain designed to resemble marble, prized for its delicate, sculptural quality.
8 & 7/8" or 22.5cm height. Condition inspection found a small historical restoration to the top of harp shown clearly in image for clarity. Otherwise it is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or restoration.
