Georgian sugar nippers by R. Timmins & Sons, dating back to around 1810, are fascinating antique tools. These wrought iron nippers were used to break off pieces of sugar from a sugar loaf, a common practice before granulated sugar became widely available. The design features a hand-sprung mechanism and "D"-shaped cutters, showcasing the craftsmanship of the era.
R. Timmins & Sons, established in 1790 in Birmingham, England, were known for producing tools and "heavy steel toys" until the 1880s.
