19thc Small Victorian Antique Rocking Horse / Foal ~ Hand Made Real Hide c1840+

A very characterful rocking horse hand made in the 19thc and by condition very well loved. It is a petit foal sized piece that is covered with real hide attached to an oak rocking base. We were drawn to this by its wear and tear aesthetic. The item has stood proudly in the La Vintique Maison store window as a showpiece for the last few months to advertise our quality antiques and curio showroom.  The item is delightfully original, quirky, worn and beautiful. Its time for who we fondly call this little darling Penelope Pickles to journey on to a new home now. Courier delivery is possible.

Condition~ Inspection found wear to the rocking horse. 
There is loose stitching and loss to tail and mane hair. The hide has wear as does the rocking frame wood. 
The aesthetic is overall worn yet very characterful. 
We love this piece at La Vintique Maison and adopted her as our own mascot this year. 
Our window display is changing so Penelope Pickles as we fondly name this foal needs a tender loving home who understands she has been through a couple of hundred years of journeys and retired from her rocking days, and would ideally suit purpose as a display horse.
