This is a superb little vase which is unmarked but does have a very faint remnant of an mark underside. We attribute this to Derby late 18thc. Derby porcelain did produce dolphin-footed vases with Japanese-inspired patterns, particularly during the early 19th century. These designs often featured vibrant orange and gold accents, reflecting the influence of Japanese Kakiemon style.
This vase is small measuring 4 & 3/4" or 12cm in height. It has gold gilt applied to the rims and an overlay over the oriental inspired pattern. After extensive research we cannot find the pattern but it is typical of the late 19thc fashion.
Condition is very good. The piece does not have any chips, cracks or restoration.
